Stainless steel

Stainless steel or Inox also belongs to iron scrap and even represents a large part thereof. Due to its specific resistance to corrosion it is nowadays becoming a more and more important metal. Since it contains nickel and chrome, it achieves higher prices on the secondary raw material market. Prices vary according to the nickel share in its composition. The more nickel it contains, the higher the price. It is collected as:

  • Old stainless steel (kitchen sinks, old cookware);
  • new production scrap, or
  • stainless steel shavings, which are usually found in the steel processing industry.
  • Stainless steel 10/8
  • Stainless steel 18/8
  • Stainless steel 316
