Bronze

Bronze is a name for numerous copper alloys, usually in a 9:1 proportion, but can also include zinc or other metals. Its forging began in the Middle East around 3300 BC. During that time, which is also named Bronze Age after bronze, also arsenic was added to the alloy in order to strengthen it.

Bronze has also always been used for artistic creations, e.g. in sculpting.

Bronze is divided into several subgroups:

  • bronze in pieces;
  • bronze shavings.
